Here is a quick overview of the options:
- Wine Tour: Private, customized tours.
These are run by local, knowledgeable, connected individuals that live and work in the region. The right tour guide will be able to get you into small batch, boutique (often closed gate) wineries where you will sit with the wine makers themselves and have a unique experience. - Limo: Private
Good for people who want to party and don’t really care about discovering new wines and wine makers. Fun for bachelorette parties, birthday parties and carefree celebration.
- Uber/Lyft: Driving service only
Good for people who know exactly what they want and require no advice or choices. Be aware that often times connectivity and availability can bea problem in wine country which may result in long lead times between tastings. Most of these drivers are from out of the region and are unfamiliar with the wineries and wine makers
- Drive Yourself: BAD IDEA!
